7:40 Men's Ministry
The name comes from I Chronicles 7:40 referring to what we call the four pillars of manhood. "Heads of families, Choice Men, Brave Warriors and Outstanding Leaders
The 7:40 Men's Ministry at Faith Community Church operates with dual vision. The two parts are ministry to men and by men. In the first section we will be teaching men to be heads of their families, choice men, great leaders and brave warriors. The second part includes involving men in hands-on ministry in the church, the community, the nation and internationally using what they have learned to serve others. It is our goal to involve every man in the church in some form of service or ministry.
Our motto is: Men are not born, they are made!
Classes Offered:
The Quest for Authentic Manhood is the foundational level or ground floor of manhood. This 24-session study focuses on a man's core identity and gives an overview of basic wounds and other things that may have distorted their idea of biblical masculinity. Throughout the course of study, men will learn how to clearly define manhood and will finally be able to give a succint and passionate answer to the questions, "What is a man?" and "What am I living to be?"
Winning at Work and at Home is a 16-session study, focusing on the two areas that are central to a man's life: career and family. It will begin to build the walls of manhood through study dealing with a man's chief responsibilities. It explores how a man can enjoy and engage his work and how he can relate to a woman in a whole new way.
